Lost Geodetic Marker

I found this old Ontario Highways geodetic marker or benchmark in a cache where it was described as a brass paper weight. Thinking it might like to search for its origins I've attached a travel bug tag so it can travel the highways of Ontario and maybe find its original home.

My girlfriend retrieved this travel bug from the cache Trocadero in Paris one month ago but she forgot to log it. We very apologize for it. Travel bug is in Czech Republic presently.

We were really hoping to find this guy in this cache - because we found it in Austin, TX - how fun to find the same bug thousands of miles away. However, we did NOT find it in the cache stated. I am not sure, honestly, if it would have fit, so we're hoping it was just dropped for miles & will show up again soon. Thanks!!
