This TB is a celebration of the first-ever Earthcache, a type of cache which appeals to me.
“Earthcache I – a simple geology tour of Wasp Head” (GCHFT2) triggered a seismic movement in geocaching. The first EarthCache was located in New South Wales Australia. It was placed by geoaware on 10 January, 2004. Since then more than 17,000 EarthCaches have been published, popping up on every continent on the planet.
The first earthcache had been logged 249 times as at the date of this geocoin's release.
