One of North America's most impressive animals, the buffalo - or more correctly, the bison - once swarmed over much of the continent to the tune of over 20 million.  They were hunted almost to extinction in the 1880's, possibly just a little over 1000 animals surviving, but today recovery efforts have boosted that to around half a million.

About This Item

Shaggy would love to visit areas where some of his own kind hang out.  Wood Buffalo National Park?  Yellowstone Park?  Other?  Then wander home again.  Pictures beside his cousins would be nice.

    We have a cabin on Agate Bay Road in Barriere BC There a farmer raises Bison for market. Best Bison burgers ever. There is another Bison farm in Clearwater BC...haven't tasted their Bison as they were sold out at the Cowboy Grill and Pub. Farther north in Blue River BC there are enough Buffalo for a limited entry hunt. Buy a limited entry draw chance and there is only a 1% chance you will get to go on a hunt..then you will have to be successful, work hard and buy a new freezer. We have beautiful beasts in British Columbia.
