Current Goal

This Travel Bug takes advantage of the "copy" TB tag, and the way the internet tracking system works...
The Object is to rack up as many miles as possible.
This scheme is not without problems, but we hope it'll work...

About This Item

Dueling Dual Odometer Fraud Deal

There are two Bugs with the same tracking number, placed far apart. If the "finds" alternate, she'll rack up the distance between the two - per "move".

Here's how it should work:
§ When you find it, log a "find" no matter where the tracking system says it is. The web tracking system will only show the "latest". (For instance, you might actually pick her up in Texas, and log a nab from Massachusetts.)
§ Place her in another geocache as soon as possible. Log the true placement. (Place it ASAP, because when in your possession, no one can "find" or "place" the other one.)
§ If you nab one and the tracking system shows her in someone else's possession, wait a day or so to see if you can log your "find" & "placement". (If you "fudge" the "find" & "place" dates on the tracking entry, you may actually help the cause! Use the "fake" date for your tracking entry and put the "real" info in the log text.)

They're starting off in my cache in Texas, and my son's cache in Massachusetts. If the finds alternate TX/MA/TX/MA... , this bug will log 2,000 miles per move! For now, take her anywhere. But remember the further they stay apart; the more potential there is for mileage accumulation. Please try for "popular" 'caches, because if one of these falls out of circulation, the deal fails.

p.s. these wheels are from the dead odometer from my '55 Nomad.

This was an interesting cache as this was my first travel bug that I found. I'll get it into another cache as soon as possible. Don't know if I'm supposed to tell where I put it or not but I'll figure that out too.
