    A wet hike in the woods....with an encounter with a group of teen-age cross country athletes getting in a jog. Deer Creek is running high with snow-melt from the Jewel Basin, and the vegetation is spring green. All kinds of wildflowers blooming nearby: wild roses, Thimbleberry, Queen Cup Bead Lily, Penstemon, Lupine and Beargrass.

    How about a quick "dip" in Butte, Montana, where I celebrated "Flag Day" today. It was a blustery day over the city, and the Gallows Frames stand above the city. Butte has a strong mining (open pit copper) history, and it does well in promoting its diversity by hosting a variety of events throughout the year....like St. Patrick's Day, Montana Folk Festival, Evil Knievel Days, An-Ri-Ra, etc.

    Taking you out to one with a unique view of Tally Lake. This area is unroaded so it doesn't get many visitors, so you are one of few who have seen this view. Oh, did I mention that this is our "geocache"?

    well, little dog tag, when I retrieved you from "Hide the Cache in Space" in Whitefish Montana, I figured there would really be some sort of trinket attached to the chain. However, when I signed on, I see you are just a "dog tag". How dull is that! Don't you think a "dog" would be appropriate? Anyway, I can get you on another adventure, and put some miles one....so here's to another road trip.
