Current Goal

This little guy has travel in his soul and the power source to get him there. After all, he keeps going and going and going.......

About This Item

Runnin' Bunny is a diehard sightseer. He even brought his camera with him. On his first release, he would like to visit Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Key West southernmost point, and the Lincoln Memorial. After he is done, he would like to return home to any cache in the 44145 zip code for a re-load and new mission.

Simply take a picture of Runnin' Bunny at any of the mentioned locations with the attached camera, update the log to indicate a mission successfully completed, and send him on his way. Don't use up the camera at one location, remember, he needs to get to all 4 spots.

If you complete one of Runnin' Bunny's 4 tourist missions and contact the owner you'll be rewarded with one of his siblings (Runnin' Bunny's, not the owners).

If you can forward or upload some pictures taken with your own camera, it would be much appreciated.

UPDATE #1

Runnin' Bunny has been to the Golden Gate Bridge. 1 trip down, 3 to go.

UPDATE #2

Runnin' Bunny was taken by a newbie cacher who has never logged into the site again. Thanks to cacher Bright One for killing Runnin' Bunny

(edited from original entry, which I deleted)
I acquired Runnin'' at the Water Fall cache in Oregon last Thursday.

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=31719

I was getting ready to place him somewhere near Mount Saint Helens on Tuesday but I just found his page and discovered his plight.

I see he had a different itinerary, but he clearly enjoyed seeing the second highest waterfall in North America (after Yosemite falls). Unfortunately, I was not camera-equipped, so I do not have a picture of the obvious grin his mouthless face displayed in awe of the 620 foot waterfall.

Please let me know what you want me to do with him, since he is without his mission pack. I would like to see him be able to complete his mission, and will do anything to help on his way.

I could still place him at a site with a great volcano view, but that may slow down his travels to the famous sites he is planning to visit as those caches are not as popular as the more urban ones (although they might feauture more long-distance travellers).

I can place him in a well-traveled (but well-hidden to avoid plundering) cache to speed his travels.

If you wish for me to re-unite him with his mission pack, I can retain him until it arrives (e-mail me at greg@smithcon.com or call me at 503 351-1113 for address info), or I could also ship him back to you so that you could re-start him on the rest of his mission yourself.

By the way, I did see the cache log entry that placed him in the cache, but did not remember the date or id of the cacher. The log mentioned that he had just travelled from Madison, Wisconsin.

Thanks, -Greg

Clarification....

Someone has grabbed Runnin' Bunny but left the rest of the mission pack (camera and logbook) in the cache. Bunny is now travelling unequipped to finish his mission.

A kind cacher in Wisconsin grabbed the rest of the mission pack and will be sending it to me.

I'll try to reunite the parts once the person who grabbed the bug logs their find. Meanwhile, this log will remove it from the cache page.

We've got him. We'll try to get him along the way on I-90 on his way to Rushmore. But first we're going to take him for a balloon ride. Photos to follow.

I found Runnin bunny under a log. The group that was with me for there first cache is heading west past Mt. Rushmore in August. Runnin' Bunny has his thump up and hopes on geting a ride west.

Cachew found this furry little guy while playing hooky one day. Says he wants to go west towards the Golden Gate. I said that I'd take him as far west as I could - but that he probably has better batteries than me. He won't stay in Madison, WI for long. Thanks for moving him along.
