Woke up in UIO (Quito, Ecuador). 5+ hr flight to IAH, then continued on the DFW for a 15-hr layover. Staying at a new hotel in a new area. Too hot outside to cache for too long this afternoon. Quick walk from the (human) hotel to this TB Hotel. Leave DFW for IAH at 5:40am tomorrow, quick IAH-ONT-IAH turn, then commute home to MSP. Cache on!

Caching in New York City! Came in from Bogota, Columbia yesterday for a 24-hr layover in NYC. Back to BOG later today for a 32-hr layover, then back to IAH. Muggles were everywhere, so patients and discretion is required.

Beautiful day, loaded up the recumbent trike bike with tag-a-long bike, two-wheel bike with Burley cart. Took the family on a 26 mile round trip bike ride, geocaching and picnic along the paved trail of the old Dakota rail line from St. Bonifacius to Wayzata (Minnesota).

I have seen this geocache on the google map while planning our biking trip. Unfortunately I forgot to load the geocache into my GPS, so I decided to search this one out entirely using my iPhone and the geocaching.com app. Worked ok, as I did find it, but I think my geo-sense kicked in more then the iPhone was going to help.

Geo-son #2 and I took grandma to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for some routine medical treatments. We had a lot of time to burn even after lunch, so we decided to grab a geocache that was on the Mayo property. The weather was cool, rainy and windy and therefor couldn't spend too much time outside. This cache was a good hide and in an incredibly high muggle area. In fact, if you count all the tall building around the area, there is probably someone look down on the hide locations at all times. Also, because of the tall building, the GPS was almost useless. Fortunately I have seen (a like very much) this type of cache container before. The description led us right to it.

Nothing too exciting again. I am in the middle of a 4-day trip. The trip had a nice 32-hr layover in MSP (2 nights) so I was able to gain that extra time home with the family. Tonight I am in Boston. Unfortunately it is a short layover and we stay near the airport....nothing too exciting in the area near the hotel to see and do. I do have a cache hidden near the hotel, so I did a little preemptive maintenance by replacing the logbook on the nano-cache. Going home Tuesday morning, via BOS-EWR-IAH (them commute to MSP) for another 6 days off. Hopefully I will get some time to geocache with the kids.

Don't forget to remember and honor all those before us (especially the veterans) on this Memorial Day!
