I hope, your knight has returned (at last. I send him home by mail). The crusade has ended. The nobleman can settle back on his estate and tend to the needs of his tenants. He can honour his ancestors resting in peace under their headstones. Hopefully he’ll stay in the Bristol area to enjoy his wife, his life and live without strife. But as I recall there were 9 crusades to Jerusalem and 7 other “Holy Wars”. So before you know it, wanderlust might get the best of him. And he’ll be gone again. Fighting heathens (or dragons), or rescuing damsels in distress from rowdy ruffians.
Or perhaps, in pursuit of those troublesome treasure hunters searching for cached coin and global glory.
