I would like to travel to GC4JD1B - 3IEE - 3rd International EarthCache Mega Event 10/11/14.
EarthCaches are in effect a type of virtual cache. They have no physical container or log book. However, EarthCaches are different from other virtual caches in so much as they teach the visitor something about the site. An EarthCache is not just a scenic view or a locality. They present some lesson on how that place formed, about why that place is important scientifically or what that site can tell us about our planet.

The tag has is shaped like a dinosaur fossil. This copy tag is travelling while the original is in my collection. When you log this copy tag you will get the correct icon. If I see you at an event I will show you the birthday coin.
Has it really been 10 years!?!
It really has. The first EarthCache (GCHFT2) was placed by geoaware on January 10, 2004 on a headland in New South Wales, Australia. To mark this 10th Anniversary, what can be better than an Earthcache cake coin!
This great design for both Earth and Geo cachers is a limited edition by our friends at Landsharkz, and is trackable at Geocaching.com. The coin also comes with a dinosaur fossil travel tag with a matching code.
