Current Goal

I am looking for "OLD" places. This could mean a lot of different things. So use your imagination.

Thanks Fundamental and Venlis for getting me started on my journeys!

(This is a real coin. If you find anything else, please let me know.)

About This Item

Anthony & Cleopatra

Antigua & Barbuda would be seen as red if they were big enough!

1) The Forgotten Cemetery (GCPF80)
2) Nokian kirkko (GCX093) "Church of Nokia isn´t very old (built 1837), but the Pantheon of Rome has been used as it´s model with round shapes and all over domes. We hope that Anthony & Cleopatra would feel a bit like home here."
3) Umpihankea tai sakkipimeaa (GCZC84) There were "old" people at this event. I know because I looked at the pictures! Heh, those are old people if you are a child! :-)
4) Medieval Finland 7-Turku Castle (GCYWJG) This has got to be old, after all it is a medieval castle! I can't believe no one has taken any pictures of the castle & added it to the website! There are 34 logged visits & not a single picture. :( At least I have a picture of me in front of the castle! Thanks -lub!!
5) Godstow Abbey (GCGXGE) Thanks for the picture Suurnesu!
6) Cold War in Oxfordshire (GCYW28)
7) derrylynne says, "This coin is in a cache that is hidden under one of several large boulders that were left at the top of the Bwllch mountain by the receding glacier that filled the valley in the last ice age. The rock itself had travelled very many miles. Now that is old....."
8) felmaith said, "Hope this 13th century castle on the Gower peninsula will suit." talking about the cache, "Oystermouth Castle Cache"
9) Hakuna Matata (glos)said, "Views from near cache include Gloucester Cathedral which has been a place of worship for 900 years." speaking of the cache "Tyndale's View"

Hope this 13th century castle on the Gower peninsula will suit.

  • Anthony and Cleopatra at Oystermouth Castle. Twas merry when
You wager’d on your angling; when your diver
Did hang a salt-fish on his hook, which he
With fervency drew up.

Was passing this cahace while out supervising a Bronze DoE training team so i thought that I'd stop and look in on it.#

Found the Geo Coin but as I was already holding one didn't take it. If still there next weekend I might pop back and move it to a new cache.

We bought this coin to South Wales and dropped into our first and most popular – and also of course our oldest cache. This cache has beautiful views from the top of two valleys and in the distance on a clear day the sea can be seen. This coin is in a cache that is hidden under one of several large boulders that were left at the top of the Bwllch mountain by the receding glacier that filled the valley in the last ice age. The rock itself had travelled very many miles. Now that is old.....
