4) Medieval Finland 7-Turku Castle (GCYWJG) This has got to be old, after all it is a medieval castle! I can't believe no one has taken any pictures of the castle & added it to the website! There are 34 logged visits & not a single picture. :( At least I have a picture of me in front of the castle! Thanks -lub!!

This coin has a mission to find old places, and it certainly has done, we found it in the shade of a Roman Villa, somewhere we used to take our children many years ago. The villa was a retirement home for a roman general, built on the shady side of the hillside by a spring (it must have been much hotter in those days!). Alegedly the romans brought a variety of snail to this area of the cotswolds to breed to feed their slaves. These pesky snails keep turning up in my garden!!
