The purpose of this laminated proxy card is to travel from cache hide to cache hide to gather copious amounts of geocaching mileage. Since actual heavy duty metal coins seem to go missing too often, this proxy card takes the place of the metal coin and does the traveling for it. Much easier to travel also.
