I seek out truth, I hunt for mysteries and search for expansion of the mind.  Take me to any puzzle cache but especially if it challenges your thinking.  Use that noggin' and get me moving!  This travel bug is participating in the 1st Annual Battle of the Bugs Race in 2014 so think fast!  

This is a travel bug race of sorts but there are many different ways to win this "race" - hence the name of this event. This is not a race to a particular location but a battle for travel bug supremacy. All participating travel bugs will be launched from the event. Once launched, the bugs will battle for one full year. We will track their progress as they race toward one or more of the many goals that will earn their owner a prize.

Categories are as follows:

• The travel bug located furthest from GZ at the end of the race
• The travel bug with the most miles at the end of the race
• The travel bug that has been in the most caches (dropping just to record miles will not count.)
• The travel bug that has been in the most states
• First travel bug to go outside the country
• The travel bug with the most pictures
• The first travel bug to visit Groundspeak HQ
• The first travel bug to visit Memphis
• The first travel bug to attend a major sporting event
• The first travel bug to go MIA (must be MIA missing at least 3 months)

We love puzzles, and mystery caches are our favorite kind.  The 3D printed mathmatical art in your hand is an example of how beautiful mystery can be.   

In 1603, the Accademia dei Lincei ("Academy of Lynxes") was founded by Federico Cesi. It was one of the world's oldest scientific societies, and counted such luminaries as Galileo Galilei among its members. The academy's founders were inspired by the illustration of a lynx on the cover of Magia Naturalis, and the words in the preface: "...with lynx-like eyes, examining those things which manifest themselves, so that having observed them, he may zealously use them."Their emblem was a lynx battling with Cerberus, the guardian of the underworld, invoking the lynx's reputation for seeing through falsehood and discovering the truth.
