This travel bug is dedicated to the men and women who have served in the 109th Engineer Battalion, South Dakota National Guard, from 1924 to 2007. Although our colors have were retired August 18, 2007, the legacy lives on in those who have served, our families and the community of Sturgis. Until next time...

I served in the NE Army National Guard for 12 years. I was in during Gulf War I, but was not activated. I got out just 1 week before the 9/11 attacks. I tried to get back in but my First Sergeant actually talked me out of it!
