Proxy tag of the Pennsylvania Flag. We are the Keystone state. We are also a Commonwealth. Our state tree is the Hemlock, flower is the mountain laurel, bird ruffed grouse, state animal is the white tail deer and YES WE HAVE A STATE BUG!!!! THE LIGHTNING BUG!!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?! Our state drink is milk...kinda boring...unless chocolate...or if adult aged with a lil something something added...we were home to the first national capital which was located in Philadelphia before being moved to Washington D.C. We have the Appalachian Trail running through our state and one of the Great Lakes in the upper corner of our state. We have parks, museums and play areas everywhere! Get out there and discover them. A few of my favorites are: Knoebels Amusement Park, Flight 93 National Memorial, Gettysburg National Memorial, Valley Forge, French Creek State Park and Hopewell Village and Furnace, Crystal Cave, Lost River Caverns, Indian Echo Caverns, Penns Cave, Franklin Institute, DaVinci Sciene Center, State Capital, pretty much any museum in Philadelphia (Franklin Institute takes a whole day). I'm running out of room but get travel guides and make an adventure...but make sure you go to Centralia!!! Totally worth the trip and takes at least 2 days to do with a buddy....it's a must do!
