Today while working at home, Laura and I had the typical question ahead of us; where do we go for a walk after work? I was in a bit of a WIG mood, and so we selected and planned a nice short loop around under the castle and along the river. It was a nice and sunny day; actually one of the first in months I can remember, where we really just had shirts and sunglasses on. It was a very chill and relaxing walk; even though we were headed downtown where we'd rather not be, few people we met had face coverings on, nonetheless over a pleasant 57 minute walk we covered a mere 3.3 kilometers and visited six stashes, all of which we logged. We parked under the stairs to the castle, and headed out.
This was our first stop, and I admit it was well timed. I put the puzzle piece on the map a long time ago, and every time since then whenever we were in the area, the gates to the garden were closed. When we arrived today, they were finally open, and we walked in the park and were enjoying the warm atmosphere. The birds suddenly started to be on nearly every step, first passing two peafowls, then a duck, and then spotting a beautiful peacock. We soon headed towards GZ, and after I found an access path went in when the coast was clear. I came to the log and was stunned by the beautiful masking work, as well as the lock itself. This truly is a beautiful cache! We dialed the passcode (the top number was a bit harder to get in) and opened up the stash, where the both of us were even more nicely surprised at the very cozy inside. We looked through all the SWAG and xWGs inside, as well as the two travelers which are there, and wondered if we should leave one of our current 10 bugs here. But since the inventory shows four TBs, and only one of them is actually here, we decided not to risk it in a D1/T1.5 stash.
We then continued up to the garden, where we were stunned to see more peacocks and peafowl than ever, and we even counted 26 peacocks sitting in the tree! Now that was really a sight to behold, I was stunned! We spent the next 15 minutes watching the majestic birds and enjoying the area, and in one instant Laura had to tell off two French kids who were trying to pull out the feathers of one of the peacocks. Either way, this was a fascinating visit and we had the greatest time here.
Unfortunately, the TB which shows as being in the caches inventory is not in this cache. I'm sorry to say that, but I do hope it was just someone's mistake, and isn't in TB heaven! :(
