Hi this is RAD Dad's HUM-Bug and it would like to scout as many new caches as possible and then return to home base (any of RAD Dad's caches) around 9-17-2002
It'd like to see how far it can travel, how many cities, counties, states, and even countries it can visit before it is time for it to make it's way back home.
RAD Dad's HUM-Bug likes to patrol the woods, making sure people are keeping the forests clean, so please take along a bag to pick up any trash you may have found. HUM-bug loves the Cache In Trash Out program. HUM-Bug also loves going off the beaten path and loves the water, so be sure and have it visit caches near the water or even on some islands.
Please feel free to take pictures of it in new locations, or of it with you and your hunting party, and upload them to HUM-Bug's page.
If you have any questions please email HUM-Bug's owner raddad@laimbrainz.net
Thanks, lets get rolling!
**Please note, this travel bug shares the same number as the now M.I.A. Unit 14, if by some miraculous occurance Unit 14 gets logged again and comes out of it's status as M.I.A. I will then update this page to reflect Unit 14's travels.**
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE (June 2008)
Wow, I sort of fell off the edge of the world geocaching wise. After a few false starts we are getting back into the swing of things. Amazed to see what's become of both UNIT 14 and the HUM-Bug. Shoulda had this on my watch list so I would have gotten email updates as time went on even if I wasn't checking in with the website.
Looks like they've both had a good run at things, though now perhaps they've both gone M.I.A.
Sorry about the mix up with Unit 14 and the HUM-Bug. I had previously tried to contact the last person who had UNIT 14 before I decided it was M.I.A. and never got a reply, so I figured it was gone baby gone.
I thank everyone who moved these two along, I especially love the pictures! These two clearly took different course and HUM-Bug really seemed to get far away from home.
I wonder if they will ever surface again?
