As everyone knows, May is the anniversary month for Geocaching. Geocaching started shortly after Selective Availability was eliminated in May of 2000. This coin celebrates not only the 6th anniversary of Geocaching, but the success our sport has enjoyed over the last 6 years.
Both sides are adapted from different versions of the Great Seal of The United States. We studied the symbology of this well known symbol. We felt that this adaptation was very appropriate to celebrate this special occasion.
