To travel to New Caledonia - home of the largest geckos on the planet!
Geckos can be found in a variety of habitats around the world, including rockydeserts, mountains, jungles, rainforests, grasslands and even in urban areas. They come in many different colours and different species have different markings on their bodies. There are over 2000 known species of geckos, and it is widely believed that there are many species yet to be discovered.
Echo the Gecko is an extremely rare species, so please take care of her! Echo the Gecko loves to hide in a wide range of habitats, both rural and urban. Although Echo the Gecko is very small, she is very brave, and would very much like to take a trip to New Caledonia where the largest geckos in the world, the Rhacodactylus leachianus (aka New Caledonian giant gecko) can be found. If Echo the Gecko can make it to New Caledonia then her next goal would be to return to her home town of Melbourne for a rest.
Please take care of Echo the Gecko, she is very precious and would like to return home safely after all of her travels.
