About This Item

DESCRIPTION:  Ka’apuni Mu means travel bug in Hawaiian. It started traveling in Hawaii. It’s current goal is to travel and add a small memento to the pouch at each visit. Whether a shell, seed, small rock, token, etc. So if you find this bug, perhaps take a picture of you and the bug, add something to the bag, then help it find it’s way to another cache. Be sure to log the bug on the website.

MISSION:  This bug started it travels in Hawaii.  It is trying to reach South Florida, ideally the Melbourne area.  I hope you can help it on it's way.

Well, this is the oldest Travel Bug I've ever encountered. I'll see what I can do to to move it on, since it's on the wrong coast!

  • Current Contents of Ka'apuni Mu There are some very nice seashells and stones inside, plus a "JPL Family Day" badge from November 1, 2003 and a Fitzerald figurine keychain.

Left it in Pt Sal geocache today. It has a good view of "space" and some space launch complexes if you look hard enough. Added a purple doubloon to the bag.

Just got back from a trip to the Santa Ynez Valley & Lompoc... left Ka'apuni Mu #7 in the Conquistadore Cache.
