– le Bas-Rhin 1er département de France en nombre de caches, compte plus de 4 500 caches en 2014!
L’année 2014 a permis la création de caches spécifiques dédiées au « Patrimoine castral et fortifications »
Événement officiel lancé le 21 juillet pour une durée d’un an. Ce GeoTour comportait une sélection de 40 caches numérotées et réparties sur l’ensemble du territoire alsacien, fruit d’un travail collaboratif avec le RésOT Alsace, 14 Offices de Tourisme partenaires (Sélestat Haut-Kœnigsbourg Tourisme, Alsace Bossue, La Petite Pierre, Barr-Bernstein, Rosheim, Molsheim-Mutzig, Rouffach, Vallée de Munster, Eguisheim, Guebwiller-Soultz, Val de Villé, Niederbronn, Saverne et Pays de Hanau) et grâce à l’expertise d’Alsace Geocaching.
5 sculptures Lalique étaient en jeu pour les plus rapides à trouver l’intégralité des geocaches, ainsi que des Géocoins "Alsace"
C'est un mini clone surveillé par l'original qui se balade. Le Géocoin original est en poterie traditionnelle.

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard I was able to spend more time in northeast Nebraska with the other half of The Von Fanges caching team, but the weather and completely drifted closed roads prevented us from actually doing any geocaching so we spent some time comparing our statistics for caches found and trackables discovered. My list of discovered trackables is substantially longer than my mom's, but she discovered some on Facebook or owner profiles that required completing a Jigidi puzzle to obtain the TB Codes, while we were staying home during COVID, that I didn't. Her list helped me to find more TB puzzles. So puzzles were defintely more difficult and took more time to complete than others, but I managed to finish all of those on her list once I was back home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
