Ik wilde de TB CWGCPA Chickamauga speciaal in deze cache onder brengen nadat ik hem in Portugal had aangetroffen. De TB/Geocoin is gemaakt naar aanleiding van een slag bij de plaats Chickamauga en door Canadezen naar Europa gebracht, op zoek naar historische plaatsen. Ede is in 1945 bevrijd door Canadese troepen. Zodoende leek dit me een zeer geschikte cache.

December 1st, 2006. 14.00 hrs LT (=UTC+1)
I wanted this cache because it's related to Operation Marked Garden. A militairy Operation by the Allied Forces. Later, in April 1945, Canadian troops liberated nearby village Ede. Therefore I thought this cache to be appropriate to drop off TB/Geocoin Chickamanga - CWGCPA - brought to Europe by Canadians. I retrieved the TB in a Portugese cache in Linhares.

Took the coin with me to the north.
Intended to drop it in a cache near Verdun in the area where these terrible fights found place during World War I, the "Grande Guerre" as the French say.
However due to time restraints I had to skip this. I now will look to place it in an appropriate cache in the Netherlands as soon as possible.

Dropped this coin in one of the ten Historical Villages: Linhares. The cache is hidden near the Castle of Linhares, but the whole village is place full of History 😉
