The Jack Trail:
When in Middle Tennessee, you can saddle up and hit the Jack Trail GeoTour which is sponsored by the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association. “The Jack Trail” offers an excellent sampling of the things that make middle Tennessee special, and a perfect opportunity to raise your glass to a one-of-a-kind road trip.
While geocaching on The Jack Trail you will explore middle Tennessee's worldwide reputation for history, music, horses, country cooking, and distilleries. You will pass through the farms and historic sites of Tennessee walking horse country and find out how the breed got its name. You will have opportunities to get out in the fresh air and visit state parks.
The Jack Trail is also a great place to get a taste of Tennessee Whiskey. You will want to make a stop (or two) in the tiny town of Lynchburg and get to know a famous gentleman named Jack Daniel (statue pictured here). Listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Jack Daniel’s Distillery offers a very interesting free tour. The Courthouse Square and a few geocaches will complete your Lynchburg afternoon.
From Nashville to Lynchburg, from waterfalls and paddle wheels, to 200-foot-tall rock walls and an incredible variety of wildflowers, you will enjoy geocaching throughout the beautiful landscape of Middle Tennessee.
