Bridges represent the very best in a people. Physically, they stand as monuments to engineering, economics, architecture & art. Symbolically, they are a powerful analogy of strong bonds linking people and peoples.
The Golden Bridge Rat (GeeBeR) is enthralled by bridges. From a simple log fell across a stream to a sweeping suspension bridge that seems to float in the sky*, Geeber loves them all. His mission, nay, his Quest is to visit and be photographed at as many interesting bridges as possible. He loves caches about or near them. . . .
*Much in the way that bricks don’t
He has a “deep” and mysterious history. He is rumored to have been rescued by a cacher from deep beneath the salty waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He was brought, with his two brothers to the NW, where he took up caching as a trading tinket. He was canonized as a Travel Bug in the shadow of a great bridge at the Pillars of Creation cache.

I live in the neighborhood. This is my first time looking, but have walked this boardwalk since it was put in. I had a hard time with the berry bushes. Am heading over the mountains for the 4th and will give it a good home.

If you read below it says that we were going to drop him off in texas but I could never find a good cache for him. He went to San Antonio, Temple, Wayco, and Austin. Finally we left him back in Portland.

Geeber did a little traveling this weekend. We took him to Astoria, where he posed at the footbridge to the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival. He also had a look at the Astoria Bridge. Too bad neither of the caches we located were large enough for him to stay. So he came back and went to a very nice wetlands park in Hillsboro. He's there, waiting under the footbridge along with the other bridge rats.......
