About This Item

Double Sassafras

Since Geocaching takes place in so many tree filled areas, we'd like to launch this TB to insure that cachers "stop to smell the ro... I mean trees!"

Feel free to add a tree cookie. To obtain a tree cookie, find a branch of a dead tree. Use a saw to take a thin slice of the branch to see the rings. Write the species of the tree on the cookie itself with a permanent marker. Use a drill to bore a hole near the top so it can be added to the chain.

The two cookies used to start this TB came with the Walking Sticks that the Last Lappers use along the trails.

Out and about, reveling in the autumn spectacle, I chanced upon this vintage cache from 2001. Felt only right to let this aged tree themed trackable settle here, where both can swap tales and relive memories from the good ole days. May they keep each other company and share stories with every cacher who stops by. 🍂

  • Out seeing some beautiful fall leaves and stumbled on this super old cache from 2001. Seemed appropriate to drop off a super old trackable here so the cache and the trackable can reminisce about the good ole days. Log image uploaded from Geocaching® app
