We took the Green Jeep on a long adventure touring the Olympic Peninsula, along the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Today we climbed to the top of a mountain overlooking Sequim Bay, in search of a appropriate place to leave the Green Jeep. The first cache was appropriately Blyn Pinstripes. Our first attempt to reach the cache lead us up a jeep trail that eventually dead ended, forcing us to turn around. The bushes scraped the sides of the our Geo Explorer leaving behind pinstripes. The cache site was a old Lookout site, which was abandoned in 1969 and a modern assortment of technological towers were installed. We chose to drop the Green Jeep at another cache site nearby. The cache is located at the top of the mountain, (1800 ft. elev.) that was recently logged off, creating an "Amazing View". The view is truly amazing of the small community of Blyn, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and in the distance Vancouver Island, BC. Thanks for allowing us to take the Green Jeep on our adventures.
