Retrieve It from a Cache 3/5/2005 Prairie Dawgs retrieved it from Lost Pines Outing Wisconsin   Visit Log

Retrieved Elmo before they condemned his home, Lost Pines Outing. He was cool with that because is it was a long, cold, damp winter. He's been there since October 16, 2004. We took him to the Prairie Dawgs den for the evening and then embarked on a journey the next day to find him new digs.

Was out for a drive so I thought I'd stop and let the bugs out to play. Elmo wouldn't get back in the bus when it was time to leave. He seemed to have found a new place to play. I tried to explain that there wasn't really anywhere there for him to swim, but he didn't seem to care. Suddenly he stopped cold, jumped out of my hands and knocked a rock over and pulled a container out of hiding. I looked at him as he stood smiling at me. I opened it up and to my surprise, Elmo had found a cache that I didn't know was there. I don't know if it was his first, but he got a hootie hoo on this one. While I was signing the logbook Elmo climbed inside the container and fell asleep. He looked so cute and content in there I just couldn't take him out. I gently closed the container and replaced it where he had found it. I bid him farewell, returned to the bus and drove away. Hope he has fun till the next person finds him.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 10/14/2004 MajorBrat grabbed it   Visit Log

Grabbed this little guy from my son's inventory because I couldn't get him back in the bus today. We were out, he didn't come back.

We love Elmo in our house so we all got to play with him. We're going to keep him in the bus for a while and let him travel on our caching adventures before setting him free. Thanks for sharing him with us!
