The woman credited with founding Mother's Day is Anna Jarvis in May 10, 1850. The Methodist Church in Grafton, WV, is called "The Mother's Day Church" because Anna Jarvis was active there.

I'm setting off "May Facts" Signal Geocoin on its maiden voyage. Here's a May fact to get things started...May 24, 1844 - Telegraph inventor Samuel Morse sent the first official telegraph message, "What hath God wrought?" from the old Supreme Court chamber in the Capitol building in Washington, DC to Baltimore.
