Become a Circuit Design Engineer and help create a Connected World!

By connecting engineers, makers, educators and inventors to powerful ideas and the latest technologies, the element14 Community helps you to create solutions to everyday problems. We help you to make the extraordinary from the ordinary.

Now it is your turn! We’re creating a virtual circuit of geocaches.

We need your help to make connections between geocaches using the circuit board trackables, with them you will create virtual paths that bridge between geocaches and join together Scientific and Engineering landmarks of interest as shown on our “Atlas of Scientific Achievements”. These paths showing the journey of the trackables will become a virtual circuit connecting the world!

Now that you’re on your path to becoming an engineer create a free account and sign up for the Raspberry Pi 2 Kit Giveaway or follow blogs and articles on the element14 Community to help guide you into building your own GPS and geo-location aware project!

About This Item

photoresistor electronic symbol

I developed a love with electronics since elementary school, when I received an electronic building blocks toy kit including dozens of resistors, capacitors, switches, motors, etc. I made a music doorbell, a fan, a radio receiver, and many other things from this kit.

electronic building blocks

One of my favorite electronic elements is the photoresistor, an element whose resistance decreases with increasing incident light intensity. This trackable represents a photoresistor, and it wants to go toward where the light is.
