A great man. Off to see the world.
My Dad grew up on a farm in Western Colorado. It was the "olden days" when they still used horses to pull the plows and wagons. He went to college during the American depression. He studied forestry and worked in the forests of Colorado and South Dakota before being drafted to fight in World War II. He fought in the Phillipines. My parents were married before the war. After the war there wasn't a job in Forestry so he got a job working for Standard Oil, and worked for them for 30+ years. My Dad loved to travel and see things. He and Mom took a cruise to Sweden, Denmark and St. Petersburg once. He was jealous of Senator Jake Garn because he got to go to space. So he would be enjoying this trip. I made a travelbug with my Mom's picture also. She is currently in the Czech republic. Thank you for taking him along.
