Visited 6/27/2018 spaztastik took it to Tilly Willy Cache Arkansas - 9.36 miles  Visit Log

If this keychain is going to get haunted from being anywhere, it's from sitting in a used pagan circle.

The Tilly Willy bridge in Fayetteville is the most popular ghost story in this town. Everybody recognizes "the woman in white" but they may not know the story. In the 1970s, a woman drove off the bridge and killed her family on a rainy night. People say if you stall your car on the bridge, especially in the rain, you'll see phantom headlights or the woman in white.

When I was in kindergarten, our family would load up in the car with blankets and drive around for fun. One time our car mysteriously broke down on the bridge on a rainy night for no reason. Us kids screamed our heads off!

Visited 6/26/2018 spaztastik took it to Tram Law Bentonville Arkansas - 25.2 miles  Visit Log

Floaters visited the Tram Law Bentonville cache, which shares a parking lot with the 1875 Peel Mansion built by Samuel W. Peel and updated or restored by recent owners before it became a museum. We arrived after hours, but I may come back before dropping him to get a picture of him inside with a tour guide in full garb.

"The Man in Tails" that haunts the mansion is Samuel Peel. There are also several reports of the "Lady in White" and daughter Minnie ghosts. Many visitors and workers get pinched, hear piano music, or see orbs. The man walks the grounds and the daughter plays piano and plays in the attic (the schoolroom).

NWA Ghost Connection's paranormal investigation report states it is haunted.

Visited 6/26/2018 spaztastik took it to DRAKE Arkansas - 17.17 miles  Visit Log

The most haunted part of the Drake Airfield Museum (the library) is no longer standing.

Here is the NWA Ghost Connection's paranormal investigation report for the museum:

"The team that investivated the hangar ran into a few interesting anomalies. They heard talking where they knew no one was. They also heard walking on the hangar roof and various other areas throughout the hangar. Two team members were "followed" into the storage room on the second story, where our motion sensor camera turned itself off. The team encountered many cold spots where the E.M.F. meter would spike. E.V.P. of a spirit claiming to fly in and out of Drake Field was also captured.
Our team that investigated the office also came across several anomalies during the course of the investigation. They held a conversation with a spirit claiming to be that of Ray Ellis' wife. She would reply with E.M.F. readings to questions asked by the investigators."

Verified haunted!

Floaters got closer to the Texarkana Phantom Killer's haunted location. The Yacht Club used to be housing near the University of Arkansas.

Visited 6/26/2018 spaztastik took it to The Ivy Courtyard Arkansas - 9.57 miles  Visit Log

Floaters visited the Ivy Courtyard geocache, which is in the vicinity of several haunted locations.

In 1948, just across the street from the courtyard (at 617 N. College), teen nicknamed "Doodie" poisoned himself and left a suicide note with a puzzle that revealed he was the Texarkana Phantom Killer two years prior.

Ghost Hollow is at the edge of the nearby National Cemetery, where thousands of Confederate soldiers are buried. The burning bride is one ghost I recognize from stories around town.

Every university has their ghost stories, but the most haunted campus location in Arkansas is the University of Arkansas's Inn at Carnall Hall built in 1905, used as a women's dorm until the 1960s, abandoned around 1993, and finally reopened as a historic hotel in 2003. There is a photo a worker took where you can see a surprised face reflected in some polished wood. Guests say they feel like someone is laying in bed next to them, items disappear, and lights turn themselves on. Workers report full body apparitions. The location has been investigated by paranormal team CASPR and verified haunted by the ghost of a female professor who died in the dorm from typhoid fever.

Visited 6/26/2018 spaztastik took it to Prairie Grove Battlefield ParkCache Arkansas - 20.58 miles  Visit Log

The heat of the Battle of Prairie Grove in Arkansas (USA Confederate v. Union) 1862 focused around the Borden house. The Borden family sought refuge, and when they returned, their house was burned, and at least 300 bodies were lying in their yard. 2400 more dead soldiers were in the battlefield. The house standing today was built 8 years later in the same spot, and it is verified haunted by ghost hunters.

The ghosts locals report are the battle noises at night, lights in the house, and a little girl playing in the house (especially second story) and on the porch. Most ghost hunting interest focuses on the driveway to the house, where the most EVP can be recorded.

Retrieve It from a Cache 6/23/2018 spaztastik retrieved it from NW Arkansas Regional Travel Bug Hotel Arkansas   Visit Log

Can't wait to drop this guy off at a haunted location!

Edit 6/26/18
I've been looking for a good haunted location for dropping the tag, and I decided I'm going to take Floaters to "visit" a bunch of haunted locations, type up short posts about the hauntings, and get pics of Floaters in the haunted location. I have a short list of about 10 caches, all "local legends" in my state.

Finally, Floaters will be dropped at the most haunted place in Arkansas! (Unless I go out of state on an impromptu ghost hunt.)
