MountainMudbug has written an excellent tutorial for making geocoins. Although I'm not an artist by any means, I carefully followed all the directions, and ended up with something which is somewhat acceptable (see the images below). Please remember that this is my FIRST geocoin. Hopefully, the results will improve with more experience. I am releasing this bug on the occasion of my 100th find. I would like it to travel to "Going to Gatlinburg" cache (GCB42D) near Gatlinburg, TN, which was placed by MountainMudbug. The coin is a thank you gift for taking the time to write these detailed instructions. Please help this bug to meet its objective. Many thanks!

Apparently - someone forgot to log this bug as from the logs, it is not in the correct location. I did find this bug on the mentioned date at the "Going to Gatlinburg?" cache. It's there. When I saw the note that this was the objective, I left it. However, this site has it this bug at an incorrect cache. The bug has some apparent chip damage to it but it did make it's final destination.

Found it at 4:16 pm. Temperature was 97 degress. Traveled .1 miles from car to cache. Elevation is 1,407 feet.

We are from Matthews, NC - SE of Charlotte NC on vacation at Cades Cove Campground while camping at the Smoky Mountain National Park.

Whew, we had a wonderful vacation but did not have much internet access. We left the coin in Gatlinburg after picking it up at GCJ9MZ. Sorry for the late log but we DID have a wonderful time!!

Poor thing - it didn't have much of a chance to get to Gaitlinburg up there...the road is so bad that most geocachers don't go up there!

Anyway, we're going to place this bug at the Tamacache - which is right on I-64 and I-77. This will be the perfect location for someone going to Gatlinburg to pick it up!
