This is NOT A COIN, My original coin has gone MIA so I have made a replica using a keyring, I hope you are not too dissapointed. At least this way I still get to see something travel and you can stil colect the icon. I would like this Geocoin to travel the world via as many countries as possible, ending up back in England in cache GCWVM2.
I have purchased this belgium geocoin because my brother lives in Belgium and he travels round the world for Drive Against Malaria The Drive Against Malaria began in 1998 to help bring international attention to the biggest killer of children under the age of five years. Malaria is preventable and curable, yet at endemic levels in the world’s poorest countries. David Robertson is attempting to drive through all African countries to bring word wide attention to malaria. This mosquito born disease effects 40% of the world’s population in over 100 countries, yet little money is spent on prevention, research, education or treatment. David has covered 145,000 km's through 58 countries and is accompanied by Dutch television presenter Julia Samuel who documents every mile of this epic journey to produces television documentaries about the Drive Against Malaria. Narrated by Jon Snow, the first three parts of the documentary called “Challenge Africa” were shown on British television to coincide with the G8 summit Edinburgh, July 2005. The 'DRIVE AGAINST MALARIA' help to prevent malaria, by delivering mosquito nets to health centers, orphanages, rural villages across Africa. The nets are given free to families with young children and pregnant woman. More help is needed to reduce malaria transmission. We are presently seeking funds to deliver more nets to families who need them.
