Retrieve It from a Cache 8/20/2013 Brew$ter retrieved it from Atlanta Country Club Idaho   Visit Log

Up in the area for a few weeks and took the opportunity to grab some caches throughout it. This coin has been here for over 2 years now so its time to move it along. Thanks for the neat coin!

Discovered It 8/28/2010 Epic Ducks discovered it   Visit Log

We found it! Located this coin in a cache on an outcropping above the Middle Fork of the Boise River and Lynx Creek. Our first coin! This coin spent nearly a year in this beautiful spot. Our log from the cache follows:

:D FTF! Whew! At Last! This was our second attempt to find (get to) this cache. The first time was July 4th and we attempted to hike all the way in from the Powerplant campground. We ended up about 1/2 mile from the cache when the kids (6, 4 & 2) ran out of steam. Determined, today we took our 4-wheelers most of the way along the opposite side of the river. From this approach, we came up upon the beautiful falls under the cache site. After a river crossing (up to our waist), we travelled about 400ft uphill to get about 20ft from the cache site. Our geocaching bloodhounds (the kids) were able to find this well hidden cache in no time at all. This is a gorgeous area and we are so thankful that this cache was here, motivating us to hike so far in the wilderness with three young children. We took the coin (our first!) and left a flashlight, but couldn't fit it in the cache box so we put it alongside. Highly recommend.
