Hoping to make a few finds in the Maldives we were looking for the locations of caches when we noticed plans to hold a Geocaching Holiday Event. Unfortunately it was going to be held on the evening of our departure so we contacted Minnipaul and wished him success with it and apologized that we couldn't attend. We were especially sad as we had gathered a number of recent tracker finds and brought them with us to extend their travels and to drop them in the beautiful Maldives.
Minnipaul contacted us to say that the event had been brought forward to the evening before our departure but upon making enquiries, as we were staying in Bandos, we found that there was no reasonable way we could travel the 122 kms each way to and from another Atoll in an evening so sadly we still could not attend. Again we sent our best wishes to Minnipaul and to all that attended.
We thank Minnipaul for allowing us to log our "virtual" attendance and for organising the event.
I had trackables: Mapamundi Geocoin, The Birthday Geocoin and Trekker the Hiking Boot Travel Tag (which I deposited in the multi cache on Thurigiri on 18 April prior to departure), also Uwes Hell-Racer and a woodie (which are deposited in a new cache being set up on Bandos) and the final tracker I had on me was Rabbit42 (which has returned to England with me).
Crossbones5 and Crossbones8 had tracker: Key to your Heart which they also deposited in Thurigiri.
