It’s a 34 C scorcher in London today. Lots of emergency heat warnings. It’s a wonder anyone survives in places like Australia. Went to Kings Cross for an event in a pub hosted by a cacher I’ve met a couple of times including at the bottom of the Thames. Finally got around to actually signing this 366 day challenge on the way there. 🗓

It’s the holiday for the Queen’s Jubilee today. Queen Elizabeth II was at Buckingham Palace watching horses but there was a geocaching event near Windsor Castle so I took you there instead. After some cakes, we hired some row boats to tackle this T5 cache on a side stream of the Thames. I discovered that rowing is something I’m really terrible at. Give me a kayak any day please. 🚣

Zipped over to Tottenham to see the Spur’s home. Pretty impressive but not very public friendly like Arsenal’s home. I like how the area around the Arsenal ground can be used for things like running and roller skating. Then it was onto Olympic Park for an event with some Norwegian ABBA fans. 🤩

Starting the day off near home while I waited for my new glasses. The Battle of Turnham Green took place here in 1642 during the First English Civil War. King Charles I was forced to retreat and never again would the Royalists come as close to capturing London, and without London they could not win the war. There’s your history lesson for the day! ⚔️
