Das Hohe Holz ist ein größeres Waldgebiet unmittelbar westlich der waldarmen, landwirtschaftlich intensiv bewirtschafteten Magdeburger Börde in Sachsen-Anhalt. Das als Landschaftsschutzgebiet ausgewiesene Hügelland ist etwa 15 km² groß. Im Inneren des vorwiegend buchenbestandenen Waldgebietes wurde ein etwa 150 ha großes Naturschutzgebiet eingerichtet.

The Hohes Holz (literally: "High Wood") is the only large wooded area in the otherwise open, agriculturally intensively-farmed western part of the Magdeburg Börde in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. These hills, designated as a protected area, extend over about 15 square kilometres (5.8 sq mi). In the middle of this mainly beech covered region there are 150 hectares (370 acres) of nature reserve.

Found today while staying in on the North Coast on a lovely wet day... although the sun came out just in time for sunset! Hope to take this little trackable on a journey down the Antrim coast and place it in a new home to await further travels!

On a wet winters day I met a friend to walk a circuit and pick up a few caches. Having dropped a tb in one cache I picked this one up in the next.
