About This Item

One of only a select few Canada's Capital Cachers black nickel geocoins.

My wife and I have many different interests, so pictures of anything and everything are welcome!

If you're at the zoo, she'd love a picture with the cutest furry animals you can find. If you're sitting at home enjoying your Home Theatre, snap a pic of your gear for me with the coin. If you're in the mountains on vacation, snap us both a pic of some nice scenery. You get the idea. Click click click!

This geocoin is now in one of the Great White North's most beautiful areas: the Bruce Peninsula. "The Bruce" is a finger of land jutting up between Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. The Niagara Escarpment is the backbone of the area.

Here are some of nature's gifts found in The Bruce:
- Potholes (natural depressions in the rock, some as deep as 20 ft., created by water over many, many years)
- Caves (inland and in water)
- Wilderness (a young forest with many hiking trails, including the Bruce Trail and its side runs)
- Water (Georgian Bay is one of the deepest, one of the clearest, and one of the coldest bodies of water in the Great Lakes system)
- Flowerpots (large bowl-like rock formations, carved out of the escarpment by the motion of water)

I've attached a couple of photos of the area.

  • Flowerpot
  • Stormy Day
  • Nearby Shipwreck
  • Cloud formation
  • Lion's Head Bluffs in the Fog

Kirok gave me this coin for a little road trip we're taking soon. There will be some travelling, some photos, and some geocaching. Next week, I'll drop the coin in a cache near where we end up...
