Discovered at "The Great American Blackout" (GCAKARX). What an amazing experience!

We drove from Riverside, Illinois (known as the first planned suburb in the United States, designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted 1869) to a "tiny cottage" in Whittington (which was in the path of totality) before driving 40 minutes East to McLeansboro where we few but bold geocachers converged from our faraway places, to meet each other and experience 4 minutes and 5 seconds (not 8) of a spectacular astronomical event.
