Shanti ist ein Asiatischer Elefant aus dem Prager Zoo. Sie möchte die Welt außerhalb des Zoo kennen lernen und ein wenig Freiheit schnuppern. Am liebsten mag sie es in warmen Gebieten und würde gerne ihre Heimat in Asien besuchen um anschließend wieder zurück nach Hause zu ihrer Familie zu kommen. Doch bis dahin ist noch viel Zeit ..........

Shanti is an Asiantian elephant from the Prague Zoo. She wants to get to know the outside of the zoo and sniff a little freedom. She likes to be in warm areas and she would love to visit her home area in Asia. After that she wants to come back home to her family. But by then there is still plenty of time ..........

Die Asiatische Elefantenkuh Shanti lebt seit 1977 im an der Moldau gelegenen, großflächigen Zoo der tschechischen Hauptstadt Prag (Zoo Praha).Shanti kam im indischen Bundesstaat Assam zur Welt, wo sie wahrscheinlich im Februar oder März 1976 geboren wurde. Bevor sie in den Besitz des Zoos Prag überging, traf sie im Vormonat in Prag ein, wo sie zunächst für die Dreharbeiten für den Film "Pan Tau in den Wolken" zur Verfügung stand. Im Film trug das Elefantenkalb den Namen Bimbo. In Prag kam sie am 05.05.1977 im Alter von etwa 16 Monaten an, am 03.06.1977 erreichte sie dann den Zoo Prag, wo sie seitdem lebt.

The Asian elephant cow Shanti lives since 1977 in the large, large zoo of the Czech capital Prague (Zoo Praha) on the river Vltava.Shanti was born in the Indian state of Assam, where she was probably born in February or March 1976. Before she passed into the possession of the Prague Zoo, she met in the previous month in Prague, where she was initially available for shooting the film "Pan Tau in the Clouds". In the film the elephant calf bore the name Bimbo. In Prague, she arrived at 05.05.1977 at the age of about 16 months, on 3 June 1977 she reached the Zoo Prague, where she has lived.
