U.S.S. Defiant

      True to the general theme and mission of all Star Trek ships. My ongoing mission… to seek out and explore strange new geocaches! I came to my home “Starbase”, DAF’s TB Starbase (Cache ID #GC6QAR8), for the first time on 21 August 2016, in preperation to begin my first exploration mission. Please help me travel from cache to cache throughout the World. I particularly want to visit any Star Trek themed caches. If there are any out there. After a year or so of exploring, I hope to return safely to my home starbase.  This Travel Bug is Allowed to Travel outside the United States!!

If you see me, please take and post, to my travel log, many pictures of both me and the area around the geocache you eventually deliver me to. This way I can tell my owner about my adventure!

     The Defiant Class Starship was originally designed “to fight and defeat the Borg”. As the first Federation Starship allowed to be equipped with a cloaking device it later became one of Starfleet’s greatest assets during the war against the Dominion. It’s cloaking device, for a time, also made this ship the only Federation starship capable of exploring the distant Gamma Quadrant.

      This “Tough Little Ship” also just so happens to be the perfect size and shape to be attached to a geocache travel bug. I’ve never seen or heard of a Star Trek themed travel bug before. So (fingers crossed) perhaps mine is the first one ever created!!
