About This Item

Dieses kleine Quietsche Entchen wurde von meinem Hund (Lagotto Romagnolo = Cachegotto)  im Aasee in Ibbenbüren beim Suchen eines Geocaches gefunden. Somit war seine Bestimmung als TB klar.

I have been looking for a large enough container to drop this duck TB in for the last few months. The TB has done plenty of mileage around Bristol and needed a new area. I was planning on returning it to Germany in October as we had booked flights to Munich, but BA cancelled those flight a couple of weeks back so I needed a plan B. We'd come to Portmellon with no intention of dropping the TB off as there were no regular or large caches showing on my Pocket Query. As I was a bit bored I asked the eldest boy (16) to watch the youngest (10) while I walked the 500 metres or so to the cache, but took only a pen and my phone. To my bemusement the container was much bigger than registered, so having failed to drop the TB off yesterday at GC67T24 KAZKAM GAVE ME THIS IDEA, I was annoyed with myself that I hadn't brought my rucksack on this short walk. Cue walking back to the boys, collecting the TB and retracing my steps to put the little duck into the container. Safe travels kleine entchen. Greetings from Bristol.

Finding a container big enough for this TB (without planning a special trip) has been a bit difficult. So I decided I'd return it to Germany in October when we were supposed to be visiting Berchtesgaden, however our flights were cancelled a couple of weeks back (I think lack of ground staff is a global problem), so I am again on the hunt for a big enough container. The last one looked promising, until I got there!

Today I’m walking with my muggle friend along a route from Wells to Wookey Hole and then to Ebbor Gorge and back. We set off from Waitrose car park just before 11 but we are ambling rather than striding out.
After passing through Wookey Hole it was lunch time so we decided to stop for lunch a bit higher up where the view would be better and we had a splendid view towards Glastonbury Tor. We then continued on to the top of Ebbor gorge. I was rather hoping I might find a home for this TB, but this container is too small for the entchen. I’ve dipped it anyway.
Now for the scramble down the gorge, which an earlier group of walkers described as wet and a bit challenging. I hope to find a container outside the Bristol area big enough to move it on soon.
