Bertie de bosuil is een eerbetoon aan mijn vader, die sterk betrokken is bij een uilenvereniging.
Nestkasten controleren, tellen hoeveel jonge uilen er geboren zijn per broed en constant een oogje in het zeil houden om de uilenpopulatie te helpen, het hoort er allemaal bij.

Deze specifieke bosuil, Bertie, houdt er zo zijn eigen hobby op na: hij zet graag smileys op de kaart en maakt het liefst verre reizen, langs zoveel mogelijk Geocaches.

Bertie Tawny Owl (Strix Aluco)

Bertie the tawny owl is a tribute to my father, who is strongly involved within an owl association.
Checking nest boxes, counting the young owls within each brood, and constantly keeping an eye on the owl population, it's all part of the job!

This specific specimen, Bertie, has its own peculiar hobby: he loves to add smiley faces to maps, and loves to travel, passing through as many Geocaches as possible.
Can you help him travel along, increasing his 'airmiles'?
