Current Goal

I'm a jar of Marmite and I'm travelling to Australia to show the Aussie's what a proper spread on hot toast tastes like.

About This Item

Deliciousness in a jar!

English Marmite spread is a sticky, dark brown food paste with a distinctive, powerful flavour, which is extremely salty. This distinctive taste is reflected in the British company's marketing slogan: "Love it or hate it." The product's name has entered British English as a simile for something that is an acquired taste or tends to polarise opinions.

A version with a different flavour has been manufactured in New Zealand since 1919. This is the only product sold as Marmite in Australia and the Pacific, whereas elsewhere in the world the British version predominates.

The image on the front of the British jar shows a "marmite" (French: [maʁmit]), a French term for a large, covered earthenware or metal cooking pot. British Marmite was originally supplied in earthenware pots, but since the 1920s has been sold in distinctively shaped glass jars.

Ooh and only one of The Lambs loves it the rest hate it!

END MARMITE NEGLECT A EMOTIONAL VIDEO

We are so pleased that “Nectar of the Gods" A Trackable Marmite Jar arrived in Australia on the 5th Feb 2016 so soon after its release in 2016 in the UK and we would like to thank beanadventures for taking it there. Nectar of the Gods would now like it to travel around Australia. We'd love to see picture of Australia as we plan to visit in the future so perhaps we’ll be able to pick him up – we’ll keep the page updated...The Lambs @ 9.

We found a cache is Apollo Bay and we think we discovered the original cache as it was a bit of a mess and there was trackable inside - when the listing noted a new log and no trackables. So it’s a rescue!!!
