When you place this TB into a new cache take a non-caching friend along with you. Show them how to work with the tools of GeoCaching: Log Book, GPSr, Cache container. Caching with family and friends is always fun! Please put this TB into frequently visited caches – not remote caches. The ID tag says “COPY” because the first Cachin’ With A Friend TB was stolen from a cache the very first time it was placed!!! We hope that this one will be more successful.

Launched by Debiko and DownShifter, Cachin’ With A Friend TB began its journey in November, 2006 in Richland, Washington, USA. This TB is out moving around the planet with a simple goal: to encourage cachers to introduce friends to our wonderful pastime. When you head out to place this TB into a new cache, see if you can take one or more non-caching friends along with you. When you write up your log for the cache in which you dropped this TB mention whether you were able to take a friend along and what their reaction was. Of course caching with your family and friends is always a fun thing to do anyway! The attached GeoCoin depicts the tools of GeoCaching: the GPSr unit, the log book, and the cache container (ammo box). The coin itself is not “trackable” so we have attached a travel bug ID tag to allow us to follow it’s journey. This TB has been to California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Quebec, Virginia, and Washington.

Retrieved this with my daughters, who were on their first caching adventure with me. Seems appropriate for "Cachin' with a friend" to be picked up when taking new cachers out, and store it again with a non-caching friend! I intend to take it on a nice little jaunt down to the Washington DC area. HOWEVER, the TB lost it's coin somewhere along the way, now it is just a description tag, the TB dog tag, and a rolled coin tag indicating the TB origin.

I retrieved this TB from "Moon Over Roatan" on the island of Roatan, Honduras, the second stop on my NCL Epic cruise. It had not been logged into that cache. It is now back home with me in Pa. and I will send it on its way hopefully soon and take some new cachers with me. Thanks for the TB.
