PA State Park Bear joined our group when we visited him at Codorus State Park. He will be spending the week with us in Maryland, near, but not quite in Gambrill State Park. We will feed him well, as I understand he likes to eat. Thanks for the TB. Will return him to PA soon. TB14ZB6.

Uploaded some photos of the view from Sam Lewis St Pk and the bear at his new den at Codorus St Pk.

  • View from Sam Lewis State Park View of the frozen Susquehanna River from Sam Lewis State Park near Wrightsville, PA. This was the bear's home for a few weeks before moving west.
  • Bear's New Den The bear is getting ready to enter his new den (upper left corner) at Codorus St Park.

Said goodbye to the little bear today at Codorus State Park and left him in his new den at the Fish and Sail cache (GC1B1VT). So now he has traveled from one side of York County to the other. This seems to be a busy cache so hopefully he'll be on the move soon. It was fun helping hin on his journey. I'll try to upload some pictures so check back in a couple of days. Good Luck to Mr Bear and the family that sponsored him in your quest to visit all PA State Parks.

This travel bug is a great idea. I adopted the bear on Sunday 1/25/09 at Sam Lewis St Park in eastern York County. Hope to find him a new den at Codorus State Park in western York Co. within the next few weeks. He will then have visited all State Parks in York Co. Also will try to post some photos of his travels thru York in the near future.

The kids had a tough time parting with the little guy! But we finally managed to get him to Samuel S. Lewis State Park. It's a great little park with a fantastic view!
