Current Goal

Blackbeard the Pirate is homesick! He wants to go visit Jamaica, where he started his pirating career. Can you help him get to Jamaica or somewhere else in the Caribbean?

About This Item

Blackbeard the Pirate

Blackbeard was a ferocious pirate who terrorized the Caribbean & the East Coast from 1716 to 1718. He started out as a British privateer in Jamaica.

An interesting bit of trivia associated with Blackbeard is that the nursery rhyme, "Sing a Song of Sixpence" originally was a pirate recruiting song that Blackbeard used!

Blackbeard's tired of pirating, and wants to go visit his home in Jamaica, or at least visit someplace in the Caribbean. He wants to relax on the beach & watch the sunset. After 200 years of drinking straight rum, Blackbeard wants to drink Pina Coladas with foofy umbrellas in them.

If you can't take him to the Caribbean, don't worry. Just try to put him in a cache that gets him just a little bit closer to his destination. Be sure to take pictures if you can so Blackbeard can have a record of his travels!

Picked up while visiting Edisto Beach. With owner's permission I'll let this TB rest for a couple of months until I can drop it off in a cache in Grand Cayman to get it close to its goal in mid-October.
