Current Goal

The mission of the travel bug is to visit as many National Parks as possible. Richard would have continued to study the flora and fauna of our beautiful United States if he had not been lost on Flight 93.

About This Item

Richard Guadagno 1962-2001

This travel bug is in honor of my cousin Richard Guadagno who was the Refuge manager of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Eureka, California. Rich was lost on September 11th while aboard United Airlines Flight 93 enroute home from New Jersey. Please visit this web site to view more information about Rich and the wonderful work he has done. Also if you have an opportunity to visit the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Eureka, California stop by and visit the memorials dedicated to him. Rich would have loved Geocaching!

I saw this in the cache. Unfortunately I do not have a National Park near me in Detroit, so I will leave this one here. It is a very nice memorial tribute to your cousin though. Thanks for sharing his story with us.
