Current Goal

The fourth of five duck geocoins launched together on May 25th, 2016.  These will be dropped in caches near duck ponds in Spokane Wa.  Cachers feel free to grab and carry a duck for a while!  Please log your duck as a cache visitor as you carry it on your adventures--that way we can see how many miles it caches.  Then.....should you happen to find ANOTHER cache near a duck pond, drop your duckie in for the next cacher to find and carry.  Let's see how far these ducks can fly!  Perhaps even "across the pond" some day!

About This Item

A tiny pink sparkly geocoin in the shape of a duck.  It was launched in a sleeve with instructions for players new to TBs.

Paris, France: This was a brand new adventure for me! I've never been to France, and I hadn't gotten my France souvenir until this one. This was the second half of our tour, and was mostly for my daughter. France has never been on my bucket list. But I was able to see some beautiful things and I'm glad I did. Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, The Louvre, Sacre Couer. France is a lovely place, but I am starting to grow weary of not being at home. I'm probably going to go home and cache around town for a while before we take off on our next romp to far flung places.

    • Eiffel Tower My selfie game is getting pretty good! :)

London, England: I've avoided London on my last couple of jaunts because I did get to spend a few days here the first time I came, and then I knew I was coming back for this trip with my daughter. We spent 4 days in London and had a whirlwind experience that included Bath, Stonehenge, Windsor Palace, Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guards, a beautiful ride down the Thames, Tower of London, and a trip over the top of the London Eye. Great visit and I was lucky to be able to find a nice virtual to visit with all my TBs.

York, England: Back in York! This city took three tries before I felt like I got all I needed from it. Finally got up onto the city walls, climbed up to Clifford's Tower and visited the York Castle Museum. This time I came alone for a 3 day stay before starting a tour with my daughter that I promised her for her graduation in Dec 2019. Guess why it took so long to make the trip?!?! This is just a lovely place and I would recommend to anyone that it's worth a visit.

Scottsdale, Arizona: This was a hidden gem near Phoenix that I didn't know about till I needed a new hunting ground near home. Lovely park, has some good educational walks and a bunch of virtual and Adventure Lab caches. Resting up for my next big trip!

Visited 1/29/2022 Melisaco took it to NE-ON THE STRIP Nevada - 46.92 miles  Visit Log

Las Vegas, Nevada: Just a quick stop on Fremont Street to spend the night before continuing on home to Phoenix. Fremont Street is my favorite place to stay in Vegas. Definitely give it a look if you ever come here.

Pahrump, Nevada: This was one of those times when I decided I needed to take a quick road trip. This was my birthday so I took the Friday off and spent a 3 day weekend driving to Death Valley. What a beautiful site. I'm so glad I went! Pahrump is the last little town before you go out to the middle of nowhere and eventually Death Valley National Park.

Dover, England: This was absolutely awe inspiring. I've really only been impacted as much in a natural setting by Niagara Falls. There is something about water and high cliffs that just works for me. While in Dover we also visited the Dover Castle. Lovely day and very glad I made it here.
