I picked up Gizmo's friend on a business trip to Florida. He was an easy find, but then he accompanied me to another site where we got lost in the rain in a tropical woods! It was quite an adventure. He is now home with me in Wisconsin. We have had some snow and very cold weather, so he is hibernating until we can get him into a new cache.

  • So, into the FL forest. The small trees here are Palmettos (state tree). Giz is now resting in the forest (park) after his exciting week with beachside.

Giz is on the move again. Too many homeless folks around. No problem - he just couldn't consentrate on his mission with so much "activity" about.

  • Giz at the falls This is a favorite spot where the Eua Gallie river meets the Indian River. The falls keep the brackish water from backing up the fresh water river. Many young couples come here at night to study the hydographics of the area.

  • Gizmo's mode of travel NY to PA Giz and I met in Albany. I work on the ocean tug pictured and he indicated that he would like to accompany me to FL before the summer ended.

  • Chairs The main activity here is sitting. Really - a four-hour game of musical chairs (for the Guiness Book). I had to get Gizmo out of here before he had TOO much fun.
